I would say , one year my partner made all our photos together into one album and gave it to me.

DH to me: proposed, very beautifully.
Me to DH: surprise trip to Venice just before Christmas.

But really, romance isn't in the big things. It's in the tiny day to day gestures, the way we try to make each other's days

DP organized a trip to a very Christmassy city to distract me from my first Christmas without my DC. More than organize he actually stage managed it tbh. Every detail was thought of. I was heartbroken and fragile and he knew I was and he made it all better. I get very choked up thinking about it, still.
