How do I find out who this number belongs to?

Hi All!

So, I'm getting my ducks in a row to leave my OH. I'm finding it hard but I'm determined.

As in previous posts, I pay for everything. So, I just looked at the phone bills for this month, and there's a number on there that a message has been sent to (assuming a picture message as texts are inclusive), but I don't recognise the number. It didn't come up on Facebook or a Google search, either.

Without me actually calling it, is there a way I can find out who it is?

Just call it using the number withheld function, which is dial 141 before you dial the number.

Ridiculouslyso · 18/04/2018 09:41

Can you add the number to your Whatsapp contacts and see if there is a picture attached?

DaffodilPower · 18/04/2018 09:48

Thanks @Ridiculoslyso Just did that.

It's his ex, who he lied to about meeting up with when I went away for a weekend with my mum two weeks ago, who was awful to me when we first got together, and who he swears he doesn't speak to anymore.

She is married now but the upset it caused was horrific. And he keeps lying about being in touch with her!!

I don't think he's ever been 'over' her if I'm honest. Even five years on.

I guess that makes leaving a whole lot easier!

Sorry, two years ago, not two weeks ago!

Sounds like you have further proof of why you shouldn’t be together then. Are you going to confront him or just leave it?

DaffodilPower · 18/04/2018 10:06

@TiredMummy I'm just going to leave it I think, it's my own personal kick up the arse, knowing I've made the right decision. If I confront him he'll just shout and scream and turn it into something I've done wrong!

We had a massive row at the weekend and he brought it all back up, saying how I was paranoid in the past about it. Funny, he'd sent her a photo just three days before that..!! Guilty conscience perhaps?!

Wow I really do wonder sometimes if liars actually believe the lies themselves!! On the day he leaves just be like oh by the way hope X Liked her picture message and throw the bill at him 😂

DaffodilPower · 19/04/2018 11:57

@TiredMummy Good idea!! It will be me leaving, so I might just leave the bill on the side for him to find when I'm gone, and go a bit Columbo on him.. "Just one more thing..."!!

I love it, the mental image of this has me laughing out loud!
