I was on Facebook and was waved at by a guy I don’t know personally he is a friend of a friend I had added because I thought I knew him from school. I replied saying hi to his wave and we carried on a conversation about how are lives have been and basically getting to know you kinda questions. We talked off and on that evening said bye nice talking to you maybe we’ll talk again. Anyway two days later he messages me with a music video of a band called The James Gang and the song “ Walk Away” from the 1970s. He didn’t say anything just the video.I’m not sure what to think so I didn’t respond but I looked up the lyrics. Would you listen to the lyrics or read them and give me your impression? I think it makes him look a little odd after one conversation. Sorry I can’t copy and paste.

Seems odd to send to someone you've only started talking to. Do you actually know him? As you said you thougt you went to school with him? Did you?

Oh god...I have a guy that does this to me...its infuriating. I'm too old to play games....stop sending me song lyrics and get to the bloody point! !!! He's single..I'm single...say what you want. And before anyone says it - I've already taken that step...to no avail. But still he sends the lyrics. No advice op...other than maybe send him some ????? and see what he responds

No I didn’t go to school with him he went to a neighboring school in town.

A song he likes that he thinks you'll like? A song he likes but hasn't really listened to the lyrics? A song he likes and thinks the lyrics are apt? Who knows? I'd ignore it or send a question mark.

This sounds like a ‘courtship’ from when I was at 6th form... a cheeky poke to soften up the ground and let them know you’re interested, sending some cheesy song lyrics via msn messenger. Messaging your friend trying to work out what on earth it all means... I’d end it now and block as the only place this is going is a bit of slap and tickle round the back of the student union after he buys you a £1 test tube shot.
