..do you sometimes think one is better/more loyal etc than the other and then change your mind again? Is that normal?

I don’t compare my friends, I accept them as different people

Chienrouge · 15/03/2018 20:15

No. I have three ‘best friends’ (don’t tend to call them that, but we are a group of 4 very close friends). They all have their strengths and weaknesses, as do I. I have never thought one was ‘better’ than the other.

I agree totally, I need to stop comparing them.

Thanks!

I have 2, completely different people personality wise, no comparisons. Each friendship has its own strengths and weaknesses and I do feel closer to one or other at various times but I love them both equally. There are occasions where one will be better support but only as they have vastly different life experiences and views.

Redcherries, I can relate to everything that you're saying. I have 4 really but don't see 3 and 4 very often due to distance, but I can tell all 4 anything.

I've recently felt a bit let down by one of them. I've been there a lot for her recently and she's always acknowledged this and been extremely grateful. But this time it was me who needed support an felt like she wasn't there fully.

I have a number of good friends. I don't rank them. They are all good friends with whom I share various aspects of my life. Why are you rating them against each other?

hellsbellsmelons · 16/03/2018 09:48

I have 2 and we are all friends.
But I spend time with them separately as well.
They don't spend time together just the 2 of them though, if that makes sense.
They serve different purposes in my life and I love them both dearly.
I'd never compare them. They are very different and sometimes similar in many ways.
