Talking about the future

My DP and I were talking about a friend who died 4 years ago this month and talking about her funeral, when a song came on his I Tunes it was Changes by Black Sabbath he said this is what I will play at your funeral!!! are we the only middle aged people who talk about this stuff, I also added the details of a song I would play at his, we had both clearly got this all planned out we can't be the only ones, or are we? It is a lovely song btw just a shame I won't get to hear it!!!

I've known since mid 20s what song to play for entrance & exit at his cremation. Totally normal in my eyes

Well dp knows what song to play at my funeral (Bon jovi, "live while I'm alive and sleep while I'm dead" obviously) but I've no idea what he wants. Think it'd be a bit weird to pick for each other TBH

Pretty much everyone has to plan a funeral or five during their lives. It's completely normal to think about what you'd do for the people you're most likely to have to do this for and to discuss these things with them. I've done this for my brother, sister, serious exes when they were current and my current partner. Completely normal.
