Hi, there seem to have been a few threads recently of people finding out they have been doubly betrayed by their OH and their so called best friends.
I think we deserve our own thread.
If you don’t have personal experience of this then feel free to lurk but please let us be. It’s a special kind of pain we are in, unique to us.
My experience is;
Married for 14yrs
2 dc’s 10 & 12
1Dc has a rare disease we are still diagnosing.
Affair happened 8years ago, lasted around 2 months.
Bff of 35 years finally came clean two months ago. She, her husband and mine have all been lying to me since the affair. We had what I thought was a very close relationship, god parents to each others kids, family meals together, daily phone calls etc etc.
Everyday is a struggle.
We are going to counselling and he is trying to make it better but I’m a different person since finding out.
I wrote her a long letter today - poured it all out, don’t know whether to send it or not.
