My step daughter is nearly 12 she’s been in my life over 5 years
In this time her mother has
Had drug and alcoholic addictions
Had social services involved
Made our lives hell
Worked cash in hand earning kits money but used foodbanks
Never brought her child any clothes school uniform etc - I did
Her mum has neglect her child and been a vile person of which she admits
But
She’s acting out a very different persona Infrint if the world
Joining the church
Doing charity work
Shaved her hair off last week for charity
I see loads phrase for this women all over the internet mean while I pick up the pieces of her neglected child who’s asking why doesn’t Mum not want to spend time with me provide for me but act fab for the everyone outside the house
What do you think this is doing to a child ?
I’m worried as she approaches teen years she will rebel badly
She wa sick Tuesday night all over her bedroom floor her Mum made her go to school which isn’t allowes we didn’t know
Social services have said we won’t get custody along with solicitor as Mum is deemed clean
I’m worried this child will be emotionally screwed up there’s always some drama at her mums house
