Vivid dream after Pyschic night

I went to a psychic night other night. I was a bit on the fence but listened to this psychic talking to others about future predictions, dead people in the room.. It was definitely interesting. Anyway that night I had a strange dream that my close friend said he was in love with me. This dream was so vivid I woke up and it disturbed me because I am married. The dream felt really real. Has anyone else had this experience?? Bizarre.

Apologies for spelling psychic wrong!

Sounds like you had a dream, OP. They're quite common you know.

Diamondangel8 · 09/03/2018 18:07

Aha I know but it was really vivid. I woke up and it felt real. Has anyone had this? Or is it just me. It was weird

Confused it’s really just a dream. More vivid than you’re used to, but still a dream!

BiscayTrafalgarFitzroy · 09/03/2018 18:51

Seriously, have you never had a vivid dream before?

Also, FIY - psychics aren't real.

Hotdoggity · 09/03/2018 18:54

Most of my dreams feel real...

Angelf1sh · 09/03/2018 18:56

Have other people ever had vivid dreams that felt real? Yes, I’d imagine almost everyone has.

Psychics are deluded at best and con artists at worst.

Diamondangel8 · 09/03/2018 20:53

There are some that have the gift I say.

I've had very real dreams. Ones including where I've wanted to phone that person at 2am because it felt so real. I wouldn't believe anything you heard from a medium though.

SilenceIsBroken · 11/03/2018 00:02

"There are some that have the gift I say."

They definitely have a gift, but not the one you're thinking of.

ReggaetonLente · 11/03/2018 00:29

Could you be pregnant? Vivid dreams the first sign for me!

Summerfalls · 11/03/2018 00:47

Vivid dreams can be caused by anything, stress, depression, medications or just randomly having them with no particular meaning behind them.
I have however had random of episodes vivid dreams about one particular friend in the past and it would be every single night for about 1-2 weeks which some days would leave me feeling strangely emotional once I woke for the rest of the day. During these times we hadn’t spoken for many many months and then they would randomly contact me out of the blue a couple of weeks later. It’s happened many times regarding this particular person. Whether they have all been coincidences or not, I have no idea but strange none the less.

MyDarlingWhatIfYouFly · 11/03/2018 09:17

You probably found the evening emotional and exciting which triggered a vivid dream, I usually only have very vivid ones when I have a lot going on (good or bad) or if something significant happened that day.

Psychics are frauds. My mum has been to one a few times and I get annoyed that these people prey on others losses and vulnerabilities for money. I usually just ignore things I don't believe in, but in this case I really don't think they are harmless.

Zaphodsotherhead · 11/03/2018 09:31

Around about once a month I have a week of VERY vivid dreams, so real that I take a moment or two to work out whether or not they actually happened. I also have lucid dreams (which, contrary to popular usage doesn't mean 'very vivid dreams' but dreams during which you know you are dreaming).

Visiting a 'psychic' probably got you thinking without realising it about minds and how they work and sparked off vivid dreams. Don't read anything into it, OP, your mind is just firing off whilst asleep. Does NOT mean your friend is in love with you IRL at all.

Emmageddon · 11/03/2018 09:36

Do you think your vivid dream is telling you that your best friend is really in love with you? It was just a dream, not a prediction of the future. Psychics prey on the bereaved and vulnerable. There is no deeper meaning to dreams.

IveGotStupidHair · 11/03/2018 09:40

I had very vivid dreams after my dad died and dreamt about my dad. I think it’s fairly common when you’re feeling very emotional.

Diamondangel8 · 11/03/2018 17:21

Yeah it was a very emotional evening, lots of people were crying at this psychic night. I woke up from the dream and it felt real. Took me a couple of minutes to work out whether it had really happened or not. I haven't spoken to my friend in a few months which is unusual.

TatianaLarina · 11/03/2018 18:01

Ask him if he is in love with you, then you’ll know how ‘really real’ it was. 😗

MadMags · 11/03/2018 18:02

The psychic didn’t give you a dream about your friend. Honestly.

PuppyMonkey · 11/03/2018 18:07

I had a very vivid dream that Hugh Jackman came to stay with us the other day. Nothing sexual at all involved, he was just a house guest and I kept making him tea. It felt so real but I’m afraid I don't think it means Hugh is coming over.

Or am I wrong?

Zaphodsotherhead · 11/03/2018 18:08

Are you half hoping that your friend is, in fact, in love with you, OP?

DioneTheDiabolist · 11/03/2018 18:15

I once dreamt that my dad had woken me up to give me a new jumper. I said it was lovely and went back to sleep. It was so vivid that the next morning I tore apart my room looking for it. Failing to find it in went to him and told him (thinking that maybe he had put it elsewhere).

He just looked at me like Confused, followed by Hmm, followed by GrinGrinGrin.

Diamondangel8 · 11/03/2018 20:54

hahah that's funny DioneTheDiabolist. Yeah it was just odd. I woke up and thought wtf! It was vivid. Prob just miss him as we haven't spoken for some time!

DamsonOnThisDress · 11/03/2018 21:06

@PuppyMonkey

Are you wrong?

I dunno but dreaming about Hugh Jackman and it not being sexual is all kinds of wrong. Confused

Tea? TEA?!

DamsonOnThisDress · 11/03/2018 21:09

Ah op, agree with the others. Just a dream. Probably vivid (and possibly you are thinking more of it) if you got caught up in the emotion of the psychic night.

Makes me a bit cross actually to hear lots of people crying. Charlatans! shakes fist Angry
