Are you still in contact in any way? That doesn’t help. Clear away reminders - you don’t have to bin them yet but just hide it away. Fill your days with other things and people. Don’t expect it to be linear, you will have good days and bad in no particular order. Treat it like grieving - you wouldn’t expect to be over the death of a loved one in any hurry. The death of a relationship is no different. Having lost people close to me the heartache is scarily familiar.

Most of all, you need to make peace with the bad times and the good. Try to keep a balanced view of the relationship - not view it through rose tinted glasses, or the opposite.

Don’t stalk him on social media - delete and block him, unfollow or mute any mutual friends who might share things with him. Don’t check what time he was last online etc as that can become addictive.

Does any of that help?! I’m on the NC Dignity thread which is very fast moving and can be hard to keep up with everyone, but has some lovely supportive people on it, posting useful links and articles to help with recovering from a relationship. Have a read and hop on if you think it will help.

Most of all, take care of yourself, you deserve to be treated with love and respect and that starts with you Flowers

Think about his shitty qualities and be thankful now you have the opportunity to meet a man without them!
I binned all the bad taste items he had chosen for our home ad bought new stuff!! New bed too!!
Watched all my choices on TV! Ate my choice of tea!! Felt naughty tbh!! After 3 weeks I felt great!!
And in time I did meet dh - no shit qualities included!!
