I have received my DOS but there is a section about my estate that is confusing me. Can anyone shed any light on what this means, it refers to something in my will. I have not engaged a solicitor as yet

I have received a deed of separation from my ex, and there is a section in there about my estate. Without paying for a solicitor does anyone know what this means? It refers to changing my will and inheritance tax but I can't make it out

(me) hereby covenants with (other) and her personal representatives, heirs
and successors both
(a) To honour the transfers recorded herein and
(b) To amend her Will by codicil or otherwise so that to ensure that if any
inheritance tax arises pursuant to this Deed, her estate will bear the same and
to ensure that this amended Will or codicil remains valid and is not revoked
whilst any charge to inheritance tax could arise, or if it is revoked, that any
new Will or codicil contains an identical provision and similarly remains valid.
5.2 The covenants given by (me) in this clause also bind her personal
representatives, heirs and successors.

Briefly, if any inheritance tax liability arises on your death because you were legally separated from your ex, you will amend your Will so that your estate, and not your ex, will pay the tax and that you will keep this provision in any future Will you may make to replace it.
