WhatsApp- safe?

Can DP see my Whatsapp messages if he’s got the phones and iPads synced?

Don’t jump down my throat it’s not as bad as it sounds

Not an expert, but I know my whatsapp is saved to the iCloud, so he possibly can.

No. WhatsApp only works on one device at a time, unless you are using WhatsApp web or desktop, and to use that you have to scan a QR code on the screen to enable it. Plus your phone has to have internet access to keep the connection.

It doesn't work like iMessage where your messages pop up on every phone at the same time.

My understanding is that you have to have your WhatsApp settings at " back up to i cloud " so have a look and see what yours are . It can be switched off.

ignore me, my situation was different and had whatsapp on 2 phones but i dont know for sure if the messages came thru on both as one phone wasnt online

If you activate WhatsApp on a second phone with the same number it will switch it off on the first. So if you have activated it on his phone with your number and now have it on your own phone, it will ask him to reactivate WhatsApp using your number when he opens it.

WhatsApp has end to end encryption for the last couple of years. That makes it more secure than it was a few years ago and it's why the government keeps wanging on about building back doors in so they can snoop on suspected illegal activity.

The only way you can use it on two devices at once is with WhatsApp web, and you have to scan the QR on screen with your WhatsApp app on your phone. If you haven't done that and he hasn't, he can't see your messages.

There is a way to access the messages if you've backed up your account to iCloud, but it requires effort and it's not an automatic thing, which is what you asked about.

Actually the QR thing for me was useful, what I saw was a load of tittle tattle crap, just way too much of it to another woman who indeed as he said was ‘needy’ if he had told me at the timeI would have fired her, I wish he had instead of me being convinced it was more than it was
