Am Aibu about sex

Name changed for this but would like to hear other mumsnet gets opinions. We have two dc 7 & 5, DH was and is very keen on sex in the morning, and thinks we should put a lock on the door and do it when then are downstairs on iPads on a Sunday morning. I find the idea a total turnoff to be honest. According to DH this is something everyone with kids does. Is it?! Am I being unreasonable?

Live a little op!

Send them to Sunday school!

I wouldn't be able to relax knowing they are downstairs. I'd feel a bit negligent, maybe I am being unreasonable but I don't enjoy it if there's a chance my kids will hear us/ walk in.

morningsex · 12/02/2018 21:22

That's how I feel, not exactly negligent but hearing them messing about downstairs will not exactly get me in the mood. On the rare occasion they are not here or we are away I'm happy to partake.

If we have it in the morning it's while they're still in bed, maybe he could compromise?

Chopsypie · 12/02/2018 21:24

We just close the door. We've still got a stair gate so hear them start to come upstairs.

Mine are 6&7.

I love a lazy morning snuggly shag!

I used to give mine £1 If they played nicely until the clock said 09.00 Wink.

mindutopia · 12/02/2018 21:51

I definitely would. Sadly, mine is up at 6am on the weekends and we can only really get away with distracting her with the tablet until about 8. My dh isn’t a morning person. He would easily sleep til 9 and I go mad lying around in bed past about 7/7:30. But no, I don’t think it would be weird (lock on the door, maybe), but if you aren’t in the mood, I guess you aren’t in the mood.
