Feeling so low

I don't know if I'm even posting i the right place here but just wanted to get some thoughts from other people.
Basically, i am feeling so low. I have so much to look forward to and should be very happy but I just feel so drained. Everything feels like a chore recently and I know this surely can't be what life is all about??

What’s your situation OP? Are you in a relationship? Kids? Has there been a major trauma you’ve not dealt with?

I'm engaged and have a gorgeous dd who is 5. I have a few issues from the past that I think may still have an effect on me but it is never spoke about so I think it's just swept under the carpet and I've learned to live with it

Have you been to the GP about your low mood?

You might also want to consider counselling about your past - sometimes having dc brings things back to the surface.

I have been to Drs and I'm on anti depressants but didn't open up about anything. They just seemed happy enough to hand the pills out without any further conversation x

First thing tomorrow, if at all possible, get up, put your trainers on and go for a brisk walk. It’s not the cure all. But it will help at least for a short while lift you up to some degree from that really low place. Then talk. Or plan to talk. Talk on here. Book a counselling session or a GP appointment or phone a friend. For now though, sleep. Try a white noise app or a sleep podcast if you’re struggling to switch off. All your bad days will end (this is my mantra) Flowers

Thank you calmandbright for that. I I have just realised one thing, I have never really spoke to anyone properly about my past. Not my fiance, friends, anyone really. I think that's something I need to look into x
