Partner has no sense of humour

My partner comes to stay with me on a weekend and brings a brown leather bag. My son has the same sense of humour as I do and finds it hilarious to pretend to be obsessed with inanimate objects. So he has a fixation with this bag and calls it the "poo bag" as its brown, sometimes the "diarrhea bag" (I call it the shit bag) and he makes out it has special powers etc...its so funny to watch him kicking off about this bag so I laugh along and I suppose I encourage it. Anyway DP thinks its stupid and things its stupid for me to encourage it. Last weekend my son 'stole' the bag and put it in the bath (no water) which I found really funny, sometimes he hides it in his room, sometimes he empties it out in my room and throws the clothes all over and somethings he spills things on it and rushes to take a photograph. DP has said that he's getting sick of the joke, doesnt find it funny and wants us to stop.

Thing is my son has just got into scrapbooking and wants to do a 'funny' page all about the poo bag which means I'll need to take a few photos. DP got cross when I told him and said I'm being pathetic and he's sick to death of it all and if I carry on he'll get rid of it I think he's over-reacting, its just a bit of fun. Am I being daft and should I stop or is he being grumpy?

If I was your partner, you'd be dumped, sorry.

Haven't we had a thread like this before?

you think endlessly 'larking' about with someone else's property and calling it shit is funny.

your dp thinks jeremy clarkson is funny

you sound like a match made in heaven tbh. hope you're both very happy together

Trippety trap. Trippety trap.

8!! Goodness when I read this i assumed DS must be 5 at most!
I can't see how this could be funny really. If this was a child's bag you were talking about this would be called bullying!

If you really thinkk your DP dislikes your son then why the hell do you invite him to stay with you every weekend..and laughing at him and direspeting him in front of your son is certainly not cementing any lasting friendship there is it?

This is remarkably similar to some that have been posted before ...

Definitely trip, trap. And time to find a more original subject to troll with, I think.

Don't share your sense of humour.

Oopsydaisy? nothing to do with me. A name change on the cards for me I think.
