Alcohol, theft and domestic abuse

My best friend is a high functioning alcoholic. You'd never guess (she's attractive and well presented, good job, 3 apparently well looked after kids), but scratch the surface and it's plain to see. She admits, in some moments, that she has a serious drink problem. She's also stolen things (half-admitted to me), which I know can go with alcoholism. Thirdly, she's also trying to get out of a relationship in which she is emotionally and financially abused and manipulated by the father of her children. This is very, very hard to do, it seems.

The reason I'm posting is to find out if there's any online advice (or good books, etc) for this combination of circumstances. I can find loads on alcoholism, loads of victims of abuse, some info on people who are addicted to substances and therefore steal. What I can't find is anything which could help with the whole lot. Any idea?
