Hello all

I live with my ex and our daughter in his housing association property. He has ended the relationship and I am planning to move out and have custody of my daughter half of the time.

Whilst I'm living here (and going back to work after maternity leave has ended in a few weeks) what is the situation with housing benefit as I may have to make an application for flexible working reduced hours (currently contracted to work full time) as I have no childcare for my daughter.

I understand that I cannot get housing benefit if renting a room of an ex.

Does anyone have any advice please?

Many thanks

Why are you the one leaving? Did you not get your name put on the HA tenancy?
