Smell it

I have been with my partner for about 18 months. He has started to pass wind excessively more so since he has altered his diet which is now more protein based (also protein shakes). He has started a new gym/fitness plan which i am supportive about. What he is now experiencing is severe flarulence which smells awful. It lingers in the air for ages and wakes me in my sleep. I hate the smell its making me feel sick and like I dont want to be around him. I feel awful for moaning about this but I really cant take it. I have spoken to him about it and suggested that he eats more natural protein in the form of food but he prefers protein shakes. I have also looked up how to calm the digestive system in offer of a solution but i dont think he’s listening when I encourage natural remedies.
Not sure where to go next with this. Help!!

"Take this natural remedy or sleep on the sofa!" No way I'd have someone in my bed that had such a smelly problem but wasn't willing ro anything about it. Very disrespectful!

Is he farting at work? At the gym? Isn't he embarassed?

It isn't fair on you if he won't even attempt to quell the smell.

I hate farting and farters. It's never funny. If it happens accidentally then apologise and forget it. Your boyfriend could at least eat foods which might make a difference.

Hmm

Thanks for the responses. I find it revolting and yes disresectful. He does it anywhere and no he’s not Embarassed!! I feel like giving him an ultimatum

Been there, done that. Both myself and my exh.

It SHOULD calm down as his body adjusts.
