Then it will be no surprise, it makes it easier. Stay calm! It's like pulling out a tooth with a hole in it, no bonus from waiting.

It was very difficult, he completely lost it, it obviously didn't think I was capable of following up on my threats to leave, goodness knows what the next few weeks will bring. I've come to work to give him and his parents some space (they are up visiting so I took the opportunity to tell him whilst they were around to help with the aftermath). Xxxxx

At least it's done now. Well done for being so brave. Make sure you have your own family or friends on standby in case you need them.

hellsbellsmelons · 04/01/2018 16:12

Well done and good plan to others around when you break news like that.
I hope he doesn't make life too difficult for you now.
Keep going and keep strong.

It's not going to be easy but you will get there.

Thanks for the virtual support it means a lot. I'm just worried about him making it difficult with the kids, a rocky road may be ahead but I will be free of the daily misery from him and can rebuild my life. I have an amazing family, friends and boss! I just hope we can keep it civil and not end up in court. Xxx
