So, I met a guy via OLD. We started talking in early Sept and met for the first time in mid Oct. since then, we’ve met at least once or twice a week, and have started sleeping over since about date 5. Now, when I am with this chap, things could not be better - he says the right things (such as he’s in it for the long haul, that he accepts my DC), checks I’m ok, has had a meal with once of my teenage ds, given lifts to ds and often offers to do more. We go out or stay in - he’s tried cooking for me, i’ve cooked for him, and we’ve gone out for meals, cinema trips etc. He is extremely busy and stressed with work (travels abroad at least once or twice a month), selling his house, and dealing with problems from his second ex wife. When we first met, texts were regular, several a day sometimes, but not always, but this has tapered off a bit now. He usually replies, but with shorter texts, which sometimes are at least a day or two to arrive. I last saw him a week ago, as he is now abroad with his DC’s for Christmas and new year, visiting family, who he hasn’t seen for a holiday for a few years (in fact his last proper holiday was five years ago!), which was planned long before I met him. He gave me Christmas presents, which were really lovely and generous. Since he’s been abroad, I’ve not heard much from him, although I have had a few messages.
It’s been a long time since I was in a relationship, and I can’t help feeling that things are too good to be true, and sometimes feel like I’m waiting for it to end. What would you advise? TIA

I really don’t know but I do think it’s quite shocking that you need to wait a day or two for a text response!

Maybe someone else can say if this is normal
