If you're single...what was your last partner like?

Mine was a nightmare

I was always clear it was a temporary yet monogamous thing (we were too different), but had pressure on me to get married, he wanted to settle a £20k life insurance payment on me in the event of his death within 2 weeks of us meeting. I brindled at that and refused. The ahem was really good though.

I had a snap point two months in and walked out then he threatened to kill my pet. I'm FAR away now and staying single, I'm not sorted enough for a relationship :)

Anyway what have been other people's experiences?

Was with someone for theee years, he was really wonderful. Good looking, kind, Im a nightmare and he was endlessly forgiving of how awful I was to him at times.
for a long time genuinely thought I would marry him think I am a commitmentphobe and sabotage things
