I suggest a book called Minimalism: Live A Meaningful Life by two blokes calling themselves The Minimalists. It's about improving your life through getting rid of stuff, and it is absolutely terrible / badly written / full of them guffing on about the six figure salaries they used to have. She'll hate it.

All excellent suggestions, I think I once started listening to a podcast by the minimalists, they are indeed massive bellends. Ideal.
