Confused

None of us are perfect but I like to think I’m pretty accepting of other peoples’ opinions, behaviour etc within reason. A few times over the years, DH has said something like “ I know better than to do X because I know what reaction I’ll get”. Today we were talking about Christmas & he made a negative remark so I jokingly said “ Hope you’re not going all Bah Humbug” & he said “ I wouldn’t dare go Bah Humbug because I know what will happen”. Honestly, you’d think I was a right nag or always criticising bu I rarely react in the way he seems to think I will. This confuses me because we’ve been together 16 years so should know each other really well. I wonder if he kind of expects all women to be a certain way. Well, I’m not all women! Any thoughts & can anyone relate?

Some men play the role of henpecked husband for humour. George to the Mildred. Richard to the Hyacinth. It means nothing.

This would wind me up. How would he feel if you kept going on about how useless men were?
