Witness for a Secret Wedding

Me & DP are getting married mid-Nov at the Registry office in Twickenham. We would like this to be a very quiet affair (aka the secret wedding!) and hence are looking for 2 witnesses.

I am worried we will get to the registry office on the day and not have a witness.

Hoping to find 2 random people off the street on the day is adding to my stress ! Am hoping there is a better way to do this and hence turning to MN..

Would 2 kind souls please help us get married..?

Dh and I did this. I called the registry office before booking and asked if they could supply witnesses. The have lots of people working there who have been witnesses. We ended up with 2 caretakers

We had a friend who popped round for a visit that day unbeknowing and the building caretaker! 25 years ago this December.

We're also getting married in Twickenham and need to find witnesses, we'd like to find nice people to be part of our ceremony but can't ask friends or family. It's at 10.30 on 17 October at York House. Would anyone out there be willing to join us? Coffee and cake included afterwards, of course!
