Domestic abuse and separation anxiety in kids

Just wondering if any other parents who've been through abusive relationships have noticed their child skipped seperation anxiety at the normal age and found it appeared much later when they'd left the relationship?

Speaking to someone who'd been in a similar situation it struck a chord with me when they said their DD never experienced it as a baby but now the relationship is ended for some time it has appeared

Really I'm just exploring why this might be happening now to my child and wondered if it was delayed because of that relationship or if the relationship has caused it to start now
