Anyone have any suggestions for something romantic to do for an anniversary?

It's our anniversary coming up and I'd like to do something nice for my for my girlfriend. We aren't the type for fancy restaurants but I want it to be a night that makes her feel good. We've had a shorty few months.

I'm in Manchester if that makes any difference and budget is maybe 150.

I'm usually pretty good at this stuff but I'm drawing a blank.

Take her to a show? Night in nice hotel? Go dancing? Bungee jump? LARP? Hot air balloon? Cocktails and a night on the tiles? Trip to alton towers and do the big six? Mariachi band in the living room? As many roses as you can buy? Trip to the seaside? Signed photo of Dolph lundgren?

Do you have a jongleurs it's a comedy club we have one in Bristol and its great fun and they have a disco afterwards....basic food but really nice...low key but fun ....not to expensive either so you could get taxi there and back...could prebooked champagne ...

AlphaStation · 20/09/2017 18:25

It's not really about the money or what you do, or choose to go, but that you show that you like and love her.

I'm not good at romantic and this week I even forgot what day is our anniversary (I think it's in May but not quite sure) so don't have any good suggestions there, but you have a great many good suggestions on this thread already!

Cocktails? Doesn't manchester have cloud 9? Need to prebook

HelloMyNameIsNino · 20/09/2017 19:44

Signed photo of Dolph is definitely the best suggestion. Bit late now though. Should have wrote to him months ago. Damn.

HelloMyNameIsNino · 20/09/2017 21:22

We're no way rock chick enough to go see Metallica 😂

I've booked a Greek meze place for dinner so need to find something for the day. We went bowling on our 2nd date so maybe that?

What's on at the theatre?

Cocktails at the Cloud bar at the Hilton or one of the nice bars in Spinningfields?

A nice B&B in the lakes for the night?

Spa hotel? I've heard the Tinanic spa in Huddersfield is amazing & it's not far away.

sooperdooper · 20/09/2017 21:27

The bowling alley in the Great Northern is cool, the 50s style one
