I've been with my partner for 7months and things have progressed, we are now engaged and moving in early next year. However, my partner seems to be quiet over the past few days and I'm wondering if my partner is having second thoughts or is overwhelmed?

That or a million other reasons . How on earth are you expecting a load of strangers via the net to know based on the info you've given?!

shoeaddict83 · 19/09/2017 11:33

its kind of hard for anyone here to know by that limited info? Surely the best thing to do is to sit down and ask you partner if they are ok as they been quiet lately? I know if my partner seems 'off' i just ask and its usually work stress, or just something on his mind that we talk through.
If you are going to marry this person you need to be able to talk about any issues.

Winteriscomingneedmorewood · 19/09/2017 11:33

Engaged after 7 months would be pretty overwhelming I would imagine. .

Brahms3rdracket · 19/09/2017 11:41

Why the rush? Being engaged, or married, is not an effective way of trapping someone in a relationship they don't want to be in.

Sorry but your post makes you sound a little too desperate for this to work, regardless of compatibility, or if your partner is keen.

hellsbellsmelons · 19/09/2017 12:05

Have you spoken to your partner and asked why they are quiet lately?
That's the best place to start I would suggest.

Anything else?
On the phone a lot more?
In the bathroom longer than normal?
Out working later in the evenings?

Offred · 19/09/2017 12:06

7 months? Jeez... way too quick and intense...

I agree if you aren't able to talk about this stuff how in the hell are you going to be married?!

TheNaze73 · 19/09/2017 13:36

I agree with Offred & Winter. It'd be way, way too soon for most people to commit to someone they weren't even with in January.
My guessing is he's having a what the fuck have I done moment. Doesn't mean he wants to end it necessarily but, is probably popping out of the lust bubble you experience at the start of the relationship & the reality of committing to someone he barely knows for the rest of his life has slapped him around the face
