STBXHB doesn't think he should pay maintenance because I have two jobs

Yep. That's it. I'm actually still lolling from our convo yesterday. We've been separated for a year and I've tried to keep things amicable. Made a few noises about money before but stupidly not pushed it. Always given him the benefit of the doubt.
Last few weeks I've had uniform/school dinner/childcare bills re the beginning of term. Asked him to contribute and got a flat 'No'. Because I have two jobs. (Both poorly paid). So I must be rich.

He honestly thinks I'm out of order for asking him to contribute. I explained the expenses of running a house (he is living with a family member)

He said "well you have to pay all that for you and DS1 (not his) anyway' 😂😂😱😱

Don't really know why I'm posting. Shock I think that he had clarified his cuntishness. Next step CSA. I feel embarrassed for him being such a loser, I didn't want to go down this route. I wanted him to be a responsible parent.

He's not going to be reasonable because he's clearly an idiot. He doesn't think he has to help support his own children?! Haha! Ok.

catkind · 14/09/2017 16:17

What a prat, CSA it is then. Good luck.

Justdontknow4321 · 14/09/2017 16:19

Idiot.

Csa it is then

Barbaradidit · 14/09/2017 16:20

Text back.

So basically you are putting in writing that you aren't going to support your child now or in the future? Just for clarification. Thank you

Notreallyarsed · 14/09/2017 16:21

Aye XH tried that when DP moved in. He found lots of CSA loopholes too so pays fuck all, never has.

catiinbo0ts · 14/09/2017 16:34

Yep he actually is genuinely outraged that I am asking him for money! He can't see the difference between it being for me personally, and his DS.

I've taken two jobs because I am struggling. £70 a week in childcare and £15 in school dinners. That's just the start of it. School uniform, clubs etc

Sorry If I'm not making much sense. Not sure if I'm outraged or in hysterics Grin

It pisses me off when NRP think that the RP should just absorb all the costs, like they've rescinded any responsibility when the relationship ends. XH bought DS1 a fucking hideous tracksuit new outfit the other month, and too small trainers and stood there saying "a thank you might have been nice". A fucking thank you??? For buying a cheap arse shitty outfit and too small trainers for the first time in nearly 11 years???? Fuck right off!
