Healing after emotional affair

DH has finally recognised that his 'close friendship' with a woman he met through his hobby is actually an emotional affair that has taken our marriage to the brink of divorce. We both want to work through this and heal the damage it has caused. Couples counselling is not financially possible at the moment but does anyone know of any websites/books/exercises to help us or any advice if you have been through this yourself? I'm finally feeling some hope after months of pain and despair, and really want to get back on track.

Shirley Glass wrote a good book that helped me.
She compared a relationship to a house with windows and doors. (IIRC).
Only a husband/ wife/partner should have a door between them any other relationship should only have a window. It made sense to me.

As I understand it, Relate have a sliding scale of fees, based on what you can afford. Other charities do counselling, too.

I know where counselling can be done low cost or free. PM me if you want the details and other info. I actually volunteer for the organisation.

Look at marriage care. It's a charity where you only have to make a donation for your sessions.

Thank you for all replies, I will have a look at those links.
