What's an acceptable time frame to start dating after a separation?

Married 10 years, 2 children under 7, separated for 3 months.

I don't think there's a rule book. Whenever you feel ready. I suppose you don't want to find yourself in some regrettable rebound relationship but as long as you're aware of that risk - have fun.
