Not in love with babys father

Been with a guy for 3 years & now have a 1 year old son with him. Sad to say im not in love with him anymore because of all the abuse I've been through, physically, mentally & emotionally. Also been talking to another guy for about a month now & I've grown some feelings for him. Tried leaving before but baby daddy kept crying for us to come back & I felt bad so I did but nothings changed & he's still the same person. His mother is also very dramafied & will do anything to get a rise out of me when I leave(talking shit on social media & constantly calling & texting me). I want to leave for good but I'm scared of the outcome. Thoughts please?

Is he going to be violent if you leave? If so, involve the police or leave when he's out of the house.

Do you have somewhere to go?

Stop being pressured into coming back. Tell him nothing has changed, that he deserves someone who will love him, but that's not you any more.

Tell him you want to work on co-parenting your DS, but you and he are over.

Ignore his mother on SM.
Just shows what kind of family he comes from TBH

Make a plan. Contact women's aid in relation to a safe exit plan and look toward the future.

  1. Get off social media because it's all bullshit. Stop inviting the drama into your life.
  2. Stop being conned by his false promises and begging. You already know the truth about who he is. Why are you dismissing it?
  3. Just leave. Go wherever you need to go and do whatever you need to in order to get away.

It's time to take responsibility for your own future and the future of your child.

He does tend to get violent & take stuff away from me like my phone & other things he's brought for me because he never let me have a job. And the first place I go to is ny moms, but because BD doesn't like my mom & has kept me from her when the baby was first born, my mom & the baby dont really connect so he doesn't really like to be there & has a hard time sleeping & doing the usual stuff. And as for his mother she's the type of woman to call your work & get you fired, she also smokes weed, pops & sells xanax & cheats on her husband daily so im not sure if that'll matter in court if it goes that far? Both of BDs parents dont believe in coparenting even if the relationship is toxic & affecting the child so they give me a hard time when I leave.
