A few weeks ago on a night out I got chatting to this handsome lad and we got on really well. Nothing happened but the next day he added me on Facebook, where I see he's only 24! I'm 33 Blush we've been chatting and he's now asked me out? Is he ridiculously too young?? My ex is 20 years older Grin

Fill yer boots! Go for it

TheMasterNotMargarita · 27/08/2017 15:51

The 'rule' is half your age plus 7.
But seriously, it depends on the person. And you won't know until you get to know him.

GreyOwls · 27/08/2017 16:53

Depends. I had a relationship with soneone 13 years my junior. He was amazing. Go for it! You'll never know unless you try.

Aquamarine1029 · 27/08/2017 17:02

Of course he's not too young. His age is irrelevant, it's what kind of man he is that matters. Some 50 year old men are nothing more than a pathetic man-child. My husband is 12 years younger than I am and we met when he was 24. He's the best man I've ever known. We've been together for 8 years and married for 6. Go for it!

I dated a guy 7 years younger (I'm nearly 30).... he was more mature than most guys 10 years his senior, genuine AND he was great fun. We are still close friends! :)

I think upbringing and life experience (which can come at any age) help make the man....go for it!!!

misszp · 27/08/2017 17:37

Ps.... one of my closest friends is with someone 7 years her junior.... together 6 years, happily married for over 3 and one darling DS!

PiratePanda · 27/08/2017 17:38

I am pretty sure a 23-year-old made a pass at me at couple of months ago, though I was so taken aback because I am 43 that I could scarcely credit it...

definitely old enough to be his mum!

RidingRossPoldark · 27/08/2017 17:57

Not too young-go for it!!!

TrailingWife · 27/08/2017 18:10

He is 24, so fully an adult. Go enjoy yourself!

Go for it. Live for today & don't get blinded by the long term

JoJoSM2 · 27/08/2017 20:07

I think that's quite an age gap. It kind of depends on what you're after - if it's marriage and children, then he might not be ready for that yet.

isthismummy · 27/08/2017 20:25

My DH is sixteen years younger than me op. I am very very happy with him.

That's not even that big an age gap. Go for itSmile

crispiecrunchie · 27/08/2017 20:53

Dp was 27 when we met. I was 37. Seven years on, two kids and we are really happy. Don't think twice 😁

ghanchi · 27/08/2017 22:58

Age is just a number

Pantryboy · 27/08/2017 23:09
