Ok so i wanted to show my boyf a funny u tube clip.. parody of a song.. mostly a guy singing silly lyrics.. not rude or sexy but opening scene is a womans legs.. he shouts "oooooh yeh!!" .. would you be irritated? He does it with tv too..

I know men (and women) have thoughts/find others attractive. Fine think things but really necessary to comment out loud in front of partner?

He sounds a bit immature to me.

WomanEmpire · 27/08/2017 10:26

I'd find that grim. Not because he's admiring someone else but it's just a bit juvenile shouting out over a woman's legs.
My DP describes women as pretty. It's not a problem in our relationship, he's being respectful and uses it as an adjective the same way he would say the colour of their hair. I also say that a man is 'handsome' etc.

MaisyPops · 27/08/2017 10:27

Sounds immature and a silly (failed) attempt to be funny.

Give thia thread 20 posts and someone will tell you he's doing it deliberately to make you feel shit, he wants you to feel grateful he bothers with you and you should LTB because he evidently has no respect for women at all and is potentially abusive.

JulietNeverMetRomeo · 27/08/2017 10:32

How old are you both? You both sound immature.

cantfindagoodname · 27/08/2017 10:32

What an arse. Dump him.

AufderAutobahn · 27/08/2017 10:38

My husband does this. He genuinely doesn't seem to see any problem with it, he's surprised I don't do it too.Hmm No, it isn't necessary to comment out loud in front of your partner. It's up to you to say whether or not this is acceptable to you, but I do think it's very disrespectful for him to do it if you've made clear it makes you uncomfortable.

That strikes me as very childish tbh. BIL commented on a woman who was jogging yesterday while we were all in the car and DP looked disgusted. Leching over other people is not on.

Shoxfordian · 27/08/2017 12:34

Really immature

Sunshine1616 · 27/08/2017 20:55

Thanks for all the comments.. ive spoken to him and hopefully there wont be any other comments! I dont want yo fret over what film we watch, only agreeing to watch films with no attractive women in etc! Its draining!
