Would I be absolutely stupid to end a fairly new lovely relationship because I'm so scared of being hurt?? Please, I'm not here for nasty, shitty comments, I just need some kind of reassurance, maybe, that I'm not alone in feeling the way I do :(

No, in my opinion you wouldn't be stupid. You may be throwing away a lovely relationship though.
Have you been hurt before?

ScouseBird8364 · 24/08/2017 22:55

Not long out of a 9-year marriage, but before that, I was always generally used for sex Sad

Perhaps you need time to heal and maybe counseling.

Rejectedwoman · 24/08/2017 23:02

Totally understand this. Have you explained to new man how you feel. How long have you been seeing him? Have you slept together yet. How did you meet? Are there any red flags . Xx

ScouseBird8364 · 24/08/2017 23:06

Been seeing each other almost 3 months now, yep - intimate and nope, no red flags! In fact, the fact that it all seems too good to be true is partly my concern!

I'm just a massive cynic :-( I keep thinking he will tell me he's no longer interested or along those lines :( then think, well it's obviously just sex he's afyer, etc. :-(

Met his parents / kids etc., which made me feel like it mustn't just be sex, but then found out he went on a few dates with someone before me and she met them too! :-(

ScouseBird, may I suggest you take some time for yourself?
It sounds like you've been through an awful lot.
As Starlight says, take time to heal and maybe think about some counselling.

This fits everything really. This is on you and you can (need to) fix it.
