What are your strategies for getting over those "You fooking stupid idiot!!” moments with your DP’s?

You know the ones, when you ask for help and your DP does the absolute opposite.

Today I asked him to watch DS ^for 5 minutes& as I needed to get some shit (I was already foaming about this) off the buggy's wheels and knew DS would go mad and just want to play the minute he saw the water hose.

Literaly, the next second DS comes out into the yard and kicks off while I try to stop him getting crap all over himselF.

I was fucking furious with DP but he thinks I was overreacting. What is the consensus?

Dh has just informed me of his plans for easter hols........PIL, visiting SD's,work, without even asking about how i will cope......work, childcare etc etc.
