International dialling tone?

My partner has flown to Amsterdam. I called him last night and it rang as if he was in the UK, no international tone. Is this possible?!

Maybe, I know they've abolished EU roaming recently, maybe that's why?

Yes I call int'l every day and it changed a while back to a UK ring. It happens when I call Spain, France, Italy every time. Please don't worry !

I call offices in the Netherlands frequently and it's the normal international tone, so it must just be his mobile

When I call UK mobiles in Europe it's now the UK dial tone - did it a couple weeks ago with DP and I know he was definitely in Europe!

I called DD in Italy and Germany last week (on her mobile) and it had an international tone Confused

Yes, my son lives in Spain and his has just gone back to UK ringtone,he is on o2,
Also his charges have gone up
