I work at the weekends in a care home and its heavy going the place is getting worse and im trying really hard to find a new job.

Anyway dp says to me tonight if you want to leave your job i will give you £200 per month and then proceeded to say "all i ask for is a blow job a week" before i would get the money.

And because of my face dropping he piped up with it was only a joke and where was my sense of humour.

How would you take it if your dp said it to you? Thanks.

Sounds like just a lame joke to me babe xx

In isolation, from a dp who was generally supportive, i'd also take it as a bad joke.

Urgh, pass me the sick bucket. Doesn't sound very emotionally mature? Reminds me of a wheedling teenage boy. I sense other undercurrents going on here.

Is he bored what with it being the summer holidays and all?

NotAnotherNoughtiesTune · 06/08/2017 07:38

If he said it in an obvious jokey tone I wouldn't be offended.

But if he sounded serious then backtracked I wouldn't be impressed - you shouldn't have to prostitute yourself to your own husband.

It very much depends on the overall circumstances of your relationship. What is he generally like. Supportive, a joker.. Or is he controlling etc.
Regardless though, I'm a carer myself and care work is possibly the easiest work to come by - try a different carers role - community work, because blow job or not - earn your own money and he can't lord it over you.
My OH used to make jokes like that all the time, and when I'd return the joke he used to find it a turn on. We had a playful relationship at one point.
