Greetings everyone!
Is there a difference when Dh writes Luv on text msgs to Dw instead of Love. What are your views on these two word? Do they mean the same to you?

Have you tried asking yourself "what would Bono do?"

AdelicaArundel · 01/08/2017 23:35

"what would Bono do"?

Proper LOL with snorting at that!

RoseOfSharyn · 01/08/2017 23:45

Depends whether UR 17 n LUV UR gf.
Or whether you are 30 and love your partner. Wink

ImperialBlether · 01/08/2017 23:47

Laughing so much at "What would Bono do."

He'd write a poem. And ask what you thought about it. And you'd have to quote it back to him. And talk about it. And you'd be looking at those purple shades and just want to die.

Grtns evry1!
Is thr a dif wn Dh ryts Luv on txt msgs 2 Dw instd ov Love. Wot r ur vws on ths 2 wrds? D thy mean th sm 2 u?

Ginlovinglady · 02/08/2017 01:23

What would bono do
Funniest thing I've read in a long while!!

Lovedlost · 02/08/2017 08:28

But is there a difference between What Bono would say, and what he would do?

mmm1234 · 02/08/2017 08:49

It's personal. If my DH wrote luv I wouldn't like it. The days of the little Nokia phones with the buttons and exact limits on how long a text can be are about a decade in the past now. We no longer have to save every character we can while still sending an intelligible message. Unless he's being ironic, maybe??

amimadtoconsiderthis2017 · 02/08/2017 08:52

Is he being ironic?
Is he a teenager? Grin

category12 · 02/08/2017 09:25

I might be weird, but I only write 'luv' when I know affection is expected but writing 'love' feels like a lie. Thus Xmas card sign offs and such. I don't know what it indicates for other people.

PenelopeFlintstone · 02/08/2017 09:41

To me they're the same.

RedGrapeCornSnake · 02/08/2017 09:54

Luv is what young teenagers fall in, fleeting, intense and easily forgotten.

Love is the real deal.

I may have overthought this!

Valderal · 02/08/2017 10:08

Luv is "Oi Luv, put the kettle on will ya"

Love is "Darling, would you make me a coffee please"
