Love vs Luv

Greetings everyone!
Is there a difference when Dh writes Luv on text msgs to Dw instead of Love. What are your views on these two word? Do they mean the same to you?

Have you tried asking yourself "what would Bono do?"

He'd write a poem. And ask what you thought about it. And you'd have to quote it back to him. And talk about it. And you'd be looking at those purple shades and just want to die.

But is there a difference between What Bono would say, and what he would do?

It's personal. If my DH wrote luv I wouldn't like it. The days of the little Nokia phones with the buttons and exact limits on how long a text can be are about a decade in the past now. We no longer have to save every character we can while still sending an intelligible message. Unless he's being ironic, maybe??

Is he being ironic?
Is he a teenager?

I might be weird, but I only write 'luv' when I know affection is expected but writing 'love' feels like a lie. Thus Xmas card sign offs and such. I don't know what it indicates for other people.

To me they're the same.

Luv is what young teenagers fall in, fleeting, intense and easily forgotten.

Love is the real deal.

I may have overthought this!

Luv is "Oi Luv, put the kettle on will ya"

Love is "Darling, would you make me a coffee please"
