Non-molestation order

Does anyone have any experience of applying to court for a non-mol without representation?

One was granted a few years ago along with other orders but has now lapsed.

I need to apply for another but cannot afford solicitors fees. I qualified for legal help previously but even with that it cost me hundreds of pounds.

Is it wise? Will I be given assistance in court(as in when should I be there, where to go, what to bring)?

Any advice would be appreciated

Hi , is there domestic violence involved ? if so you just might (big might) get legal aid, you have to have proof to the hilt though .

Thank you auntsally. There is lots of proof of emotional abuse and harassment going back a long long time but due my income I still have to contribute a significant amount which I just can't afford

Get in touch with your local DV support service as they can help, ou.
But essentially yes you can apply by yourself. Just take four copies of the order. It won't matter if he has someone, just present the evidence correctly and don't respond to any contact with him as he will use that to undermine you. And don't let them fob you off with an undertaking as there is no legal back up to that. Explain how scared you are of him. Good luck x

Thank you something

I ended up with an undertaking following 6 months of the non mol last time, I think the evidence is sufficient for a non mol and can present the info calmly and without emotion I think. I very much doubt he will even respond tbh. Will see what happens.

Thank you again x
