Oh The Shame - I Am Mortified......

Should not be laughing but OMG....

Three months ago I had a partial bilateral mastectomy (severely infected ducts which were removed and most of the tissues/skin also). The original areolas were removed but the nipples were sewn back in but due to infection, both came away with the dressings) SO I bought some prosthetic stick on nipples (supposed to last - take off when showering etc).

Anyhow, as under scars are still healing I did not wear a bra and came home from a restaurant dinner to find that one had fallen off :-(. Checked dress to see if it stuck on the material, checked the car and nothing.

Blushing at the thought of someone finding it in the restaurant :-(

Not quite the same situation, but my mum had a prosthetic nipple after breast reconstruction surgery and used to stick it on with Vaseline. She never really wore it though and definitely doesn't now!

We were on our first holiday since my dad passed away, and she brought it with her, didn't wear it though so jut left it in her bedside drawer. I was 13, being a bit of a tit ( no pun intended) and was messing around with it and for some reason stuck it to the wall.. I forgot about it and we went out. When we came back it had been lovingly placed on top of the bed.. surrounded by towel swans... a bit like a nipple shrine...

Made us laugh for days. Don't worry about it! Hope you don't feel too sad about losing it hope my story makes you feel better. You can judge 13 year old me if you wish!

Back when my mum used to wear hers (she doesn't bother now) she went swimming and lost it. We dived to the bottom, emptied the filters, etc. but couldn't find it so gave up.

She found it the next day stuck to the bottom of her flipflop Grin
