I've been with my DH for 13 years. Over the past 5 he's been really moody on and off, he has a stressful job etc but getting on with him can involve a lot of tongue biting and hard work.

Sometimes I don't feel that connected with him because of his moods and passive aggressive ways so I withdraw from him shutting off, we can go a week or so with no physical contact, and then he seems to change and be nicer and pays me compliments, touches my leg when we are on the sofa together, that kind of thing, but when we have sex or I show him affection he changes towards me, he isn't very nice, he's moody and rude to me...

Does anyone else experience this?

Sorry to say but it sounds like his default position is to be moody and horrible to you but then he 'butters you up' by being affectionate as a prerequisite to sex then once he's got what he wants he returns to default position again. This would make me unhappy and I'd be thinking about at least opening a conversation with him about his behaviour.

Your marriage sounds awful to me. I couldn't live like that, quite honestly.

Does he do anything on this list?
Sounds as if he might.
