When to do the deed....

Evening all

I came out of a 10 year relationship last October and I'm thinking it's time to date again.. I've been asked on a date and I think I will accept. I've known the bloke a while through work.
So very nervous though!

I know it varies from person to person and I shouldn't be thinking about it just yet but when is acceptable to do the deed? Is the old 3 date rule still a good one? 5 dates? Go with the flow?

Thanks!

Go with the flow. I don't live by rules like that. Enjoy yourself

MrsDilligaf · 05/07/2017 20:32

When you want to.

Not when anyone tells you it is acceptable.

Go on a date, have a good time and see what happens Grin take clean knickers and a toothbrush, just in case

30 mins. Bloody marvellous 😀.

Rules are not relevant here. You will know when it feels right - or even that it doesn't. Either way be ruled by your instincts and feelings and not what you think others might do.

After 5 years with exh met now dh on a Sat night. . Arranged a date for the Wed to a concert. . Dtd was weighing heavily on my mind as its very important to me in a relationship!! So we agreed to sex on the Monday before the official date!!
Try before you buy sort of thing!!
Been together 5 years, married 2 with a ds!! Odd method for some but worked for us!!

Do whatever you want to do. Don't even almost worry about rules.

I met a man obscenely quickly after my 10+ year rs ended. We met on the Monday for an hour, again on the Thursday for about two hours, and dtd the Saturday after an evening together. He was v coy, I had to drag him to bed almost!

If I were to do it over, I'd take him home on the Monday and spend the day in bed Grin

Oh and we are still together btw! over 18 months now. I tried not to, we weren't exclusive for ages, seemed a huge cliché starting a rs with the very next man, but we made it official eventually and I wouldn't change anything!!
