Match.com 3 day free trial

Hi. Am thinking of signing up to this, but I remember a friend signed up for their 7 day trial some months back, and she could only really check out profiles. She received messages but didn't know who the sender was, and was unable to send messages. A bit pointless really, but Match obviously want you to sign up for a paid subscription, when you see all the messages coming through!
Anyway, my question is this: is the 3 day trial any different i.e. can you make use of the features on there? Obviously you're limited as to how many people you can actually 'meet' in the space of 3 days, as opposed to 7.
And does anyone know their current pricing system? It seems impossible to find out cost unless you actually sign up.
Thanks!

1 month £29.99 per month, 3 months £19.99 per month, 6 months £9.99 per month.

Not used it myself but might give it a go at some point.

Many thanks user. I had heard that it's a bit gimmicky currently, and that the cost varies according to how many messages you send! I could be wrong though.
Anyway, thanks again for replying, and good luck if you do join up!

Oh I didn't realise that, would need to have a proper look into it. I think I need to join the online dating thread and throw myself into it!!

Definitely do it Smile I met my lovely husband on match.com, so it can definitely work!

Unless you live in an area with a large catchment area (ie, large town or city), most dating sites are a waste of time. The likes of paid sites have a lot of fake profiles that lure you in. You'll suddenly start getting an increase of messages just as your subscription is about to run out and so you rejoin and then they stop.

Sorry, but been there, seen others had the same experience. These are businesses, plain and simple, and in it to make money. It's in their interests for you to take ages to meet someone to make the most money out of you. If you meet someone straight away, you're no use to them.

I got an offer recently of a month for 4.99 . I can have 10 conversations per day but I don't rate it personally. Most of the same men on there as pof. I'll see if there's a link to get this offer if it ain't expired .

match.com was very good for my ex husband thats where he was doing all his cheating but he paid for his subscription, the free services dont give you anything except ability to look at profiles but you cant message them if you dont pay

Dieu · 05/07/2017 17:55

Thanks all! Was on there about a year ago, and in hindsight, actually quite liked it. Am currently on POF, but found Match more user friendly.

I agree that they're all much of a muchness though, and it depends so much on your luck. I live in a city, so hopefully numbers won't be a problem.

I paid for Match and found I chatted to some scammers. Overall though I met some great genuine guys, dated one and now with my current partner for 4 months. I live in a City and was never quiet for me!!
