Date night

I have a date night coming up with my partner, might be in the total wrong place for answers?

We have booked a night away in Newcastle, just wondering if anyone knows of any good restaurants to eat in, in the city centre?

He is talking about booking a table somewhere, but he has a tendency to book somewhere extra up market where the menu is just ridiculous to read and everyone talks so quiet you have to think about the kind of conversation you're having before opening your mouth.

I don't mind eating somewhere up market, but somewhere that does good food with a good atmosphere?

Six at the Baltic is upmarket but was busy the last time I was in, as was House of Tides.

Miller and Carter
Gusto
Prima
House of Tides
Babbucho

All close to the Quayside too, which is lovely for a walk/drink afterwards
