Long distance - new relationship?

So I'm currently with a serving military officer. We haven't been together long but in a couple of months he's being posted elsewhere (2 hour drive or 3 hour train) so our weekly date nights will be no more but we will have weekends together like now.

We have decided to see where we are in a couple of months with the intention of doing a long distance relationship. I've have done so with a uni boyfriend (seeing each other every third weekend) and we ended up together for 7 years and engaged.

I guess this is what life is like for services personnel. Just wondering if I can do this!

I think you should take it one day at a time. Also, have many open and honest conversations about how both of you feel about having a long distance relationship. It could work out beautifully, or it may not. But if you both are value in the relationship, I say do your best to make it work.

Sorry. "both see value"
