NotanOtter

Will email the dj and change it!!! Thought it may be an odd song to dance to and guests may think it strange, but hey it is our song right?

I actually decided to finally make it legal after Yorkiegirl lost her DH.I realised that we had to look after the legalities for the kids and ourselves.

Plus the fact that i love him to bits(and he loves me to bits too)just want to show the kids and our families that we are for life!!!

What about you and Mr Otter?

wotzsaname · 18/03/2007 14:48

part of the lyrics

All you have to do is close your eyes
And just reach out your hands and touch me
Hold me close don't ever let me go
More than words is all I ever needed you to show
Then you wouldn't have to say that you love me
Cos I'd already know.

'More than words' by Extreme

I just had to listen again.

Mrsbadger - I am so of you seeing James. It completely passed me by that they had reformed and by the time I had realised they were touring again of course it had all sold out. Have signed up to the e mail alerts about the warm up gigs - could get tickets for Carlisle but it's just a bit too far mid week. Am really keeping fingers crossed that they will be somewhere Yorkshire/Lancs as an extra. Read a review this morn of the Hoxton gig and was just beside myself that we couldn't go. Laid is one of DH and mine favourite ever ever songs and one of the songs we requested at our wedding and i can't wait to hear them play again.

Hope you had a good night by the way!!

MrsBadger · 18/03/2007 21:04

oh it was fab - I swear the venue was only about twice the size of our living room.

hope you manage to see them sometime on the tour!

scrapper · 18/03/2007 22:37

Oh JackieNo! Love that song, will have to go and dig it out now.

Ours are Mozart's Magic Flute (any of it) and Love is Everything by Jane Sibery....ahhh...those long hot summer nights!

Take That. It was the subject of our first conversation.

Flamesparrow · 18/03/2007 23:12

A few... anything Stereophonics (one of his opening lines was "The stereophonics are from my village" ... never let him forget the quality of that chat up line!!)

Ash - girl from mars (were both requesting it in the club we were at)

Dizzy and Surfin USA - I hurt my leg and he hopped to both songs with me

Oh, and The Offspring - Self Esteem... he told me it was about me

I really did treat him like sh*t...

Flamesparrow · 18/03/2007 23:16

Aufish - lovin your taste in songs

Oh, anything by 3 colours red too - we were at Glastonbury... he wanted to see them, I wanted to see Blur (which turned out to be the most appallingly depressing gig I have ever seen) - told him we would go see the others in concert if I could see Blur... Guess who broke up after Glastonbury . Still feel guilty!!!

Thank You - Alanis Morisette. I really liked that song and would listen to the cd on my way home from seeing my man

Never gonna let you go - I don't know who by
You're gorgeous - ditto
The Cardigans song - Love me (I don't think that was the real title)

10 years ago this July....

Twinklemegan · 18/03/2007 23:37

One and One - Robert Miles - kind of "our song" but I very rarely hear it anywhere. I just googled it and found it with the video - it brings back so many memories

Also Don't Speak by No Doubt

margo1974 · 18/03/2007 23:41

Twinkle - Don't Speak was my breaking up song from my long term (5.5 years) ex - DH was my rebound love 6 months later

Oh and

Didn't know I was looking for love until I found you

Was another one

MrsGumby · 18/03/2007 23:46

"Are You Ready to be Heartbroken" by Lloyd Cole and the Commotions. When DH and I first got together we both had other partners and thought our relationship would be destined for failure due to all the guilt and complexity. This song just said it all for us and it still makes me well up when I hear it, even though all is now well - his ex even married his brother....eeeeek!!!

brimfull · 18/03/2007 23:54

sandcastles · 19/03/2007 00:11

Patience - Guns & Roses. First song I heard in his car on our first 'drive'

L.A. Guns - Never Enough

Motley Crew - All sorts
Midnight Oil - As above
Inxs - Kick Album. I remember borrowing his cassette tape t take to school to listen to on my walkman!!! (I was 15)

Also, as I was a cronic Brosette in those days, anything by them...soon gave them up tho, when I 'discovered' GnR et al.
