I want to delete my watsaap as i have ex abuser on there, blocked of course.
Last time i checked which was over a month ago he still hadn't blocked me/deleted my number. The thing is, its been so long scince ive looked, im actually avoiding scrolling so far down that i can see our chat because im affraid of seeing him will be a trigger to anxiety. So i want to delete ths whole thing and delete his number from my phone but then that means he wont be blocked. What should i do?

You've blocked him, so he can't contact you. Ask a friend to delete the chat itself so you won't have to see his name?

I dont think there will be attempts to contact me, he has my telephone number and can contact me in that way if he wanted to, its not about wether he contacts or not its about not being triggered by seeing his pics, thanks again x

Just delete the chat. Scroll down then select and hold his name until you get options pop up and select the bin (delete).

Have you blacked him via your phone settings as well? You can do this if you have a smartphone

Yes he is blocked and vica versa i am blocked on his social media. Wouldn't know if he has blocked my tel number though as i have made no attempts at communication and obviously dont plan to, but he has not blocked me on watsaap and i just want to delete watsaap and his number and then re-instal watsaap. But as other posters have said, maybe just delete chat, there was things on there that i wanted to save ie evidence of abuse but i cant even bring myself to look at it i just want it gone

In that case ask the friend to email it to an account to keep evidence, then delete the chat itself

Archive the chat

Sorry for earlier typo! Meant blocked. You can archive the what's app chat. Still block him manually on your phone as well. I believe you can also email the chat over to store or elsewhere? I've just deleted my whatsapp so can't check
