Does anyone else's husband wake you up early after a terrible night sleep trying to hug and kiss you when you're completely knackered?? I think it's so selfish!!! Bank hol mon at 7:30am I'm woken when I have terrible hayfever and can't breathe or sleep, he wakes me nudging me kissing me and telling me he wants a hug! Is this normal???

Yep. Mine does it too. I gently and lovingly grab him by the testicles and squeeze until he screams. Then I go back to sleep.

It's fairly normal for many men to want a "hug" when they wake up.

A kick in the shins usually shuts them up.

If we are both awake then he comes in for a hug. But he wouldn't wake me up for one. Not after that one time i whispered 'Lorena Bobbit' in his ear.

"Piss off" works reasonably well.

We have a 'no wakey, no touchy' rule here.

My DH does it all the bloody time wakes me up on purpose and it really annoys me, his hands are usually all over me, and he kisses me. I've told him a million times not to wake me but he still does it cos he's a selfish twat!

What he's doing isn't right however if it isn't happening regularly at other times, he might be trying to save what you have

My boyfriend does this, although he doesn't pretend he's wanting a hug! He'll kiss my neck and his hands start wandering, and he'll say 'dd's still asleep'. On weekends we both get one lie in and I'll just go back to sleep after, sometimes if it's his lie in morning he'll offer to get up with dd, to convince me.
I don't mind it though and he knows that!
If I'm ever not in the mood he stops straight away and tbf it's usually only 20/30 mins before dd is due to wake up anyway.

Oh and sometimes, like this morning I do it to him! He doesn't complain either, in fact it got him up and making breakfast afterwards.

My dp will come in and rub my arm and say he loves me if he comes home while I'm having a nap (very pregnant) or if he wakes before me he'll make me breakfast and bring it to me in bed. All very sweet but I'm like a caged animal when I've been woken!

Today is one of about 4 child free bank holidays I've had since DP left 5 years ago and one of the first I haven't had to go to work. I was so excited for a lay in. Instead my boyfriend woke me up about 7 because he wanted to cuddle, then five minutes later decided actually he didn't want to, rolled over and started snoring loudly. So I was up, showered dressed and doing housework by half 8ish 😒

My H makes sure I am at least half awake before he starts any groping.

Morning sex is great but not if sleep is preferable.

Cake i think that would later stand up in court if he was found bludgeoned in his bed by a Dyson handle.

A whispered "Are you awake?" is acceptable.

A proper whisper, not a stage whisper, and never repeated.
