Husband has lost interest in sex WWYD

Just as the title says really. DH has been working hard, put on weight and just isn't interested. He says he feels fat and ugly. When we have tried (which to be honest I can't remember when it was approx 6 months ago) he was unable to perform, and so I think it's due to anxiety. I'm trying to be patient/sympathetic, but to be honest I'm kind of giving up trying. Any advice from anyone who has been in the same situation?

Are you mutually masturbating, or is it PIV that's stopped?

It's understandable that he can't get turned on if he finds himself repulsive. The answer is he needs to sort himself out by moderating his diet and get to the gym. He'll feel better, get his mojo back and want to fuck you.

You could support him by dieting and exercising with him.

If he doesn't agree to it then you have a problem because he doesn't care to fix it. If he does, great, just wait until he's ready before coming onto him again.

He is very much a yo yo dieter, all or nothing. A few years ago he lost 4 stone, he was spending all his time exercising. No idea when I will know if he's ready though.

Erratic eating is an emotional issue. All or nothing eating/dieting is typical.

Having suffered it and been in your husband's place, Id urge him to take it seriously and get (good, well qualified) counselling to get to the bottom of the issue. I lost 20 kg and have kept it off for 3 years now.
It's life changing.
