My bf texted his ex that he missed her they haven't been together for years but have a children together,
We've been together 6 months and are really happy I've had no reason to think he does want her or anything was going on, I've seen the messages and nothing suggests this it was just one random text when he was drunk !! He says sorry but don't know why he did it!
I don't know what to think and can't stop thinking about it x

Why don't you know what to think, he misses his ex, that's what to think? He got dunk and told her so. As such he is not over her or not that into you. I'm sorry op, but that's really it in a nutshell. Doesn't mean she remotely misses him or is interested in him though.

MsMims · 21/05/2017 18:35

You've only been together 6 months, cut your losses and get out while it's still relatively easy to do so.

So disrespectful to you and your relationship.

Peanutbutterrules · 21/05/2017 18:36

Run for the hills....he's not over her.

user24688 · 21/05/2017 18:38

Very disrespectful to you ! I'd be gone it's the most hurtful thing too and ex :( you can do million times better cx

user24688 · 21/05/2017 18:39

Was there just one message ?

BandeauSally · 21/05/2017 18:39

Yep, dump and run.

What bluntness said who has the best fitting name ever

Sn0tnose · 21/05/2017 18:49

You're supposed to still be in the honeymoon period. If he's texting other women already (and not sexual texts, but emotional texts) there's only one way this is going to end. What's he going to be doing when the excitement of a new relationship wears off?

Save yourself more heartache later down the line and knock him on the head.

JK1773 · 21/05/2017 18:50

I agree with the others. He's not over her. Nobody would send a text like that to an ex they didn't have feelings for. Sorry. I'd call it a day x

Babyonboard101 · 21/05/2017 18:51

For me it wouldn't matter if he received a text saying she missed him. The fact he's saying he misses her, in turn that means he wants her on some level, for me that crosses a line. Either he's commited or he's not. And yours clearly isn't. Sorry op

You don't know what to thonk ?

Are you a bit dim ? He wishes he was still with his ex. Retrieve your self respect from where you buried it and tell this jerk to take a hike.

AnyFucker · 21/05/2017 18:54

*think

Helly12 · 21/05/2017 20:10

Clearly he still has feelings for her, I would get out now before you get any more involved

TheNaze73 · 21/05/2017 20:29

Get out now. It's only been 6 months.

Justmadeperfectflapjacks · 21/05/2017 20:31

He's just not that into you. . .
Find someone worthy of you. .

Bluntness100 · 21/05/2017 21:03

Op, I guess you know what to think now,,,

The question is what shall you do about it?

Aquamarine1029 · 21/05/2017 21:33

It's remarkable how easily alcohol reveals the truth. End it now because you're just wasting your time.
