Going to divorce DH but what am I entitled to?

Name change for this.

So, after 14 years of marriage I've decided I want a divorce as we've had a few problems but the final nail in the coffin was him having a ONS.

Question is how the hell will I survive? I have 2 young DS, one of which I'm a carer for but that brings me £67 a week, that is my only income. We have a joint mortgage and savings, both of which I'm hoping to get half. I know I'm also entitled to child and spouse maintenance, but what else will I get?

I have seen a couple of solicitors but they cant give me any idea yet as to the financial side until they have all the details, but I need a rough idea how poor I'm going to be.

Please tell me it's going to be ok and that I can live a half decent life as a single parent.

Do a search for the entitledto website, this will help you work out what you'll receive in benefits. Then do a search on CMS calculator, as long as you know his take home pay you can work out how much child maintenance he'll be paying you.

If you are a carer to one child and likely to have both children majority of the time, you should be looking to get far more than 50% of the house equity and savings.
You don't even mention a pension sharing order.
You need to speak to a solicitor.
